Sean T. Robitaille, CFA
President and Chief Executive Officer

Sean co-found Markland Street in 2005. He was formerly with Scotia Capital, most recently as head of equity private placements. Under his direction, Scotia Capital acted as exclusive advisor in over $2 billion of private equity placements. Of note, in January 2004 Scotia Capital acted as Co-lead Advisor for OPTI Canada Inc. in connection with its $701 million equity private placement, which represents one of the largest equity private placements in Canadian history.

Sean has a degree in Business Administration (honours) from the Richard Ivey School of Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario. Sean holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.

Robert Levis, LL.B, CFA
Managing Director

Robert Levis brings an extensive background in law and finance to Markland Street Asset Management.

Robert began his career with Pemberton Securities Inc., a full-service investment-banking firm. He later joined RBC Dominion Securities Inc.

In 1996, after completing his law degree from the University of British Columbia, Robert joined the law firm of Lang Michener LLP, where he practiced corporate and securities law.

Robert later co-founded Altara Capital Corporation and held the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Altara's primary holding, Altara Securities Inc. In 2001, Robert and his partner merged with TWC Financial Corporation to form TWC Group of Companies. At TWC Group of Companies Robert became Chief Executive Officer. In 2003, Robert and his partner again merged TWC Group of Companies with the Berkshire group of companies to become one of Canada's largest fully integrated financial services firms.

Robert holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA institute, the Law Society of British Columbia and the Vancouver and Toronto CFA societies.

Jeff Wheeler
Managing Director

Jeff Wheeler brings over 17 years of financial services experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and investment banking to Markland Street Asset Management.

Jeff began his career with TD Greenline Securities Inc. and also worked in international finance and project management in Asia. He co-founded Altara Capital Corporation where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer as well as Managing Director of Altara's primary holding, Altara Securities Inc. In 2001, Jeff and his partner merged with TWC Group of Companies. With TWC Group of Companies, Jeff became Managing Director responsible for the financial planning, brokerage and insurance divisions. Later, TWC Group of Companies merged with the Berkshire group of companies to become one of Canada's largest fully integrated financial services firms.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Guelph where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree.
